Fornax ICT Kft. wins Family Friendly Company 2014 prize
In the Family Friendly Company 2014 competition organized by the Three Princes, Three Princesses Movement, Fornax ICT Kft. won in the category of medium enterprises.
It was the sixth time that the Three Princes, Three Princesses Movement announced the Family Friendly Company competition with the goal to present companies where the employers regard family friendliness as a value. The initiative awards companies that contribute to the family friendly attitude of the society by supporting work-life balance through their operation.
According to the reasoning of the decision Fornax ICT Kft. performed outstanding measures to create a family friendly environment. The prize was received by Zoltán Nagy general manager and Dominika Schmidt HR manager at the Hungarian Academy of Science at the conference held on the 17th of October.
According to Zoltán Nagy one of the key components of Fornax ICT’s social responsibility strategy is work-life balance, and the main goal of their family friendly strategy is the creation of a happy and secure place to work, where the employees can perform their daily tasks in a serene, balanced environment.
Fornax ICT being an IT company, 76% of the staff are men, therefore the family friendly attitude is mainly to support the role of „daddies”.
Among the several similar measures of the firm the foremost are flexible work time, telecommuting, employee leasing and part-time employment. The child friendly attitude is best illustrated by the fact that employees may bring their children to work if necessary. Parents use this opportunity most often during summer vacation, but it can also be of great help in unexpected situations.
In addition to the flexibility of the management, the pleasant office environment – spacious, comfortable rooms – the relax room with numerous features are all intended to promote team spirited, cheerful, efficient work.
Beside the team buildings, company dinners and various sport activities one of the most attractive initiative of the company is the Child Friendly Work Day, during which the families of our employees can also participate in the lively programs.
„It is not only the Family Friendly Company 2014 prize that indicates the success of the child centric attitude of our management”, says Dominika Schmidt, „we see it in our annual employee satisfaction survey as well”.
